Description Mid Coast HospitalManagement/Leadership Summary Thornton Oaks Independent Retirement Community is looking for a Manager of Food and Nutrition Services. The position is part of our leadership team and works under the direction of the Executive Director. Thornton Oaks has a dining room that sits 80-100 and serves lunch and dinner meals 365 days a year. This positon oversees the "front of the house" as well as the "back of the house". The position requires someone that is adaptable and works well with a variety of ages. Thornton Oaks is looking for a responsible individual that can work with and enhance our current well-established kitchen team. The successful candidate will be able to manage budgets for all kitchen costs including but not limited to food and supplies. This person will be able to create nutritious, creative meals while still working within the budget designated for the year. You will need to be a team player. The activities, parties, and catered events require the Manager to work with every other department as well as residents. You have a small kitchen staff that is dedicated, however you may need to cook on occasion. The Manager is also the liaison for the dining program and the residents of Thornton Oaks. You will need to be able to objectively work with all the resident's needs and wants and balance those with what is achievable for meals and dining service. We are looking for someone with: * Exceptional communication skills Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
