Summary:
The MaineHealth Philanthropy Donor Relations team is a small but mighty team of three full-time staff members. Our team has historically served MaineHealth Maine Medical Center, but will be transitioning into a centralized service for philanthropy across all local health communities in the coming year. Our team manages content creation for donor outreach in partnership with the Marketing and Communication team, partners with Accounting and Finance on donor restricted fund management, and works closely with gift officers and service line leaders to create annual impact reports for programs across the MaineHealth system. Historically, the Donor Relations intern had a large focus on summer events - however events will be moving to another centralized Philanthropy team and will not be the primary focus of this internship experience moving forward.

Our annual intern partner is an invaluable member of the Donor Relations team, supporting impact reporting projects, data collection and updates for new annual scholarship recipients, fund research, and storytelling development.

Preference will be given to undergraduate or graduate students juniors and seniors pursuing english, communications, economics, history, psychology, public health or other related majors. We accept candidates from all backgrounds, as folks fall into the field of Philanthropy/Fundraising from just about every possible major! Strong skills in written and verbal communications are very important.
