For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with up to 2 years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of RN work experience!

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months' separation from employment.

This Registered Nurse - Supervisor position offers a welcoming and unique opportunity to support our growing surgical suite by assisting with nursing coordination for the surgeon and providing thoughtful oversight to the clinical team. In this role, you will gain valuable supervisory experience while continuing to utilize your nursing skills and provide direct patient care. We are seeking a dependable, collaborative professional with strong time-management abilities who is eager to contribute to a department committed to excellence and continued growth.

Summary:
This position is responsible for supervising MA, RN, PSR staff within the practice.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: BSN preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Active State of Maine Nursing License or eligible for licensure to practice in Maine. Current BLS certification.
  3. Experience: 2+ years of RN experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices and standards, medical procedures, tests, and clinical/clerical skills necessary to perform all functions and assist physicians. Knowledge of pharmacology is desirable.
  5. Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with patients, families, and other health care providers
  6. Analytical ability sufficient to identify patients at risk and initiate appropriate action.
  7. Ability to identify potential crisis situations involving patients and/or families, and to plan strategies for managing these situations when they arise.
  8. Analytical ability required gathering and interpreting information necessary to resolve problems in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
  9. Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite applications such as Word and Excel.
  10. Strong communication and organizational skills
  11. Proven experience in a customer service environment.
  12. Skills in planning, organizing, delegating and supervising
  13. Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations
