Summary:

This internship will work with the Policy Operations and Implementation team of the MaineHealth coastal region which includes Pen Bay, Waldo, Mid Coast, and Lincoln hospitals. The Policy Operations and Implementation team supports the development, review, implementation, and maintenance of regional and system policy management to support clinical, operational, and regulatory requirements. Candidates will collaborate with stakeholders supporting these policies and will assist in developing and maintaining processes to track compliance.

The Intern role provides administrative and project support within assigned department, while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in a healthcare environment.We are looking for candidates with strong communication, organization, and computer skills including the use of AI. Duties may include tracking status of policy reviews, converting documents to policy templates, checking reference materials for updates, communicating with stakeholders, using AI to synthesize or summarize information, generating status reports, and maintaining documentation of processes.

We welcome all undergraduate and graduate juniors and seniors studying health and clinical sciences, public policy and planning, social services, communications, leadership, public health, or business to apply for this role.

  1. Education: Student who is currently enrolled in a two-year Associate's Degree program, Bachelor's Degree program, or graduate-level program preferred.
