Posting Date 12/02/2025 3201 S 323rd St, Federal Way, Washington, 98001-5023, United States of America General Purpose of the JobThis position provides strategic leadership to DaVita's Joint Venture (JV) Accounting Team, overseeing financial reporting for over 700 joint ventures and managed relationships. This leader is responsible for developing and articulating the department's vision, aligning its goals with DaVita's broader financial objectives, and driving team performance across a global, multi-layered team of onshore and offshore (ACN) teammates. A key focus of this role is to develop leaders, build a talent pipeline, and serve as a trusted subject matter expert who influences senior leadership and key business partners on complex JV matters. The Senior Director ensures departmental goals are achieved in alignment with DaVita's Mission and Core Values through robust compliance, effective policies, and continuous improvement. Essential Duties & Responsibilities* Strategically manage and direct the Joint Venture Accounting Team; organizing onshore and offshore resources (ACN) to align with departmental and enterprise strategy. * Develop and articulate a clear, compelling vision for the Joint Venture Accounting function that aligns with organizational goals, anticipating how risks and outcomes associated with various courses of action will impact the department and the broader Village. * Establish and drive team goals that align with DaVita's broader strategic and financial objectives, ensuring the Joint Venture Accounting team's work provides maximum value to the Village. * Actively attract, retain, and develop leaders within the team, with a focus on succession planning for director-level roles and promoting career growth and mobility within the finance lane. * Serve as a key subject matter expert, influencing senior leadership and cross-functional partners to build consensus and drive key initiatives. Effectively navigate complex and sensitive communications with Field leadership and JV partners. * Oversee development of department accounting policies and practices, ensure SOX controls are adequate and tested. * Coordinate policy efforts with DaVita's Compliance Team to ensure adherence to CIA provisions. * Coordinate the review of new JV transaction legal documents and subsequent onboarding of new JV's. * Liaison with other departments regarding JV related matters. * Ensure department review tools and training are maintained and improved in order to promote department efficiencies. * Escalate critical issues to senior management as necessary. * Lead and work independently on multiple key projects and/or initiatives. * Assist with other projects as assigned. Education and Requirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, CPA, Public Accounting and/or Advanced degree preferred. * Minimum of 10 years' experience in accounting required and five years' experience in managing a large accounting organization. * Proficient/strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. * Commitment to DaVita's values of Service Excellence, Integrity, Team, Continuous Improvement, Accountability, Fulfillment and Fun with ability to demonstrate those positively and proactively to teammates, management, physicians, and/or vendors in everyday performance and interactions. * Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively throughout all levels of the organization with audiences of varying degrees of familiarity with technical material. * Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups. * Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills; ability to interact positively with teammates at all levels across the company. * Approachable and open. * Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the Joint Venture Accounting organization with professionalism, integrity and accountability. * Demonstrated strengths in organizational, attention to detail, follow through, analytical, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing and evolving work environment with shifting time frames. * Self-directed; able to work both independently and as a member of a team and to foster a positive work environment. * Strong analytical ability, extensive experience with communicating financial statement performance, ability to resolve issues, able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations. This position will be open for a minimum of three days. The Salary Range for the role is $140,000.00 - $202,000.00/year. If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.
