Parkhill is seeking a detail-driven, strategically minded Marketing Manager to lead the Proposal Team, providing oversight to a group of 13 professionals including Senior Proposal Coordinators, the Proposal Content Manager, and Proposal Coordinators. This role blends management, strategy, and hands-on proposal development, ensuring Parkhill delivers high-quality, competitive submissions that reflect our expertise and strengthen our position in the A/E/C marketplace.

The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator who excels at balancing creative problem-solving with process discipline, while coordinating input from technical teams, business development staff, and external partners. The Proposal Manager will shape win strategies, ensure consistency of voice, and deliver compelling, client-focused responses that elevate Parkhill's brand and support our pursuit of new opportunities. This is an exempt position paid on a salary basis.

Responsibilities

    Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 13 proposal professionals, including Senior Proposal Coordinators, the Proposal Content Manager, and Proposal Coordinators.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), including scheduling, technical writing, content gathering, collaboration, editing, design, and final production.
  • Conduct kickoff meetings, develop project schedules, and break down tasks and assignments across the proposal team.
  • Ensure proposal packages are written with a consistent, unified voice aligned to Parkhill's brand and positioning.
  • Work closely with the business development team to understand the competition and proactively strategize win themes and differentiators.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors/subconsultants for all necessary materials.
  • Finalize case studies/project profiles and ensure they are updated and accurate.
  • Write and edit proposals directly during peak workloads or high-priority pursuits.
  • Leverage AI-assisted writing and content generation tools as needed to improve proposal efficiency, accuracy, and consistency, and guide the team's adoption of AI best practices.
  • Partner with the VP of Marketing to evolve proposal processes, templates, and tools.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 4-8 years of experience in the A/E/C industry writing proposals and managing RFPs.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supervising proposal teams or cross-functional pursuit teams.
  • Experience using AI-driven tools for content development, proposal automation, or writing assistance.
  • Proficiency in project management/workflow tools (Asana, Workfront, Monday.com).
  • Familiarity with CRM or marketing automation platforms (Deltek Vantagepoint, HubSpot, Salesforce, Adobe).
  • Highly organized, calm under pressure, and skilled at balancing multiple competing priorities.
