The Opportunity:

This person, as a member of the Personalized HealthCare Solutions (PHCS) LifeCycle Team (LCT), serves as the Project Leader for high complexity Companion Diagnostics (CDx) projects from Project Start through Launch Decision. They manage the collaboration with pharmaceutical partners, drive team discussions on product quality, functionality, and schedule, and continuously improve the CDx assay and digital pathology co-development process. They also support potential pharma partnering opportunities and contribute to CDx digital pathology recommendations during early negotiations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • You will provide cross-functional leadership to global CDx pathology project teams from Project Start through Launch Decision.

  • You will provide strategic insight into worldwide in vitro diagnostic and pharmaceutical markets, including product development strategies, regulatory environment, technology sources, and global commercialization.

  • You will execute tailored CDx assay pathology project strategy aligned with LCT objectives, addressing technical, regulatory, business, and operational needs.

  • You will ensure seamless transition into later stages of development through early planning, cross-functional involvement, and effective communication.

  • You will lead process improvement initiatives, motivate the project team, and drive optimal cross-functional collaborations within the PHCS LCT.

Who you are:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a relevant field, with at least 9 years of related work experience, including a minimum of 6 years in the Medical Diagnostics industry and 6 years in IVD assay development.

  • You bring strong leadership skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a global, matrixed environment.

  • You have a demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts, adapt to change, and drive results.

Preferred Experience:

  • You hold an advanced degree in a relevant field

  • You have led projects requiring key activity or milestone completion to achieve product launch.

  • You have experience challenging senior management on budgets, data, and resource allocation.

  • You have experience managing external partners and working with globally dispersed project teams.

  • You are familiar with product changes in a regulated environment and have an understanding of Diagnostic Design Control processes.

Travel Requirements:

  • Based on business needs.

This position is based in Tucson, AZ and relocation benefits are available for this job posting

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ is $118,700 - $220,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
