Tenure faculty (regardless of rank) - persons with the titles of professor, associate professor, assistant professor and instructor who serve on appointments totaling 50% or more service to the university and who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty members tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; obligations will include research, service and/or teaching or clinical practice. These faculty will have earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possession of equivalent experience. Position Overview The Center for Innate Immunity and Inflammation (CIII), Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology and The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus OH, seeks outstanding scientists in the areas of innate immunology with emphasis in immuno-oncology including inflammation associated cancer. Applicants with interests in dendritic cell biology, innate immunity of the central nervous system and/or translational innate immune research to improve cancer treatment outcomes are encouraged. Applicants for full-time, tenure-track appointments at all ranks must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree, post-doctoral experience, excellent communication skills and a record of productivity in innate immunology. Candidates at the Assistant Professor level should have a substantial trajectory toward developing a rigorous, externally-funded research program. Candidates at the Professor and Associate Professor level should have a national scientific reputation, current research funding and a history of mentorship and leadership. Department/Division Overview The Division of Surgical Oncology provides excellence in clinical cancer care; educates medical students, residents and fellows; and conducts internationally recognized clinical and basic research.
