As a Security Officer - Gated Community Access Control in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Allied Universal team member assigned to a commercial real estate location, you will focus on access control responsibilities, monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Monitor and control access points at the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report any irregularities.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Communicate and collaborate with property management, residents, and/or visitors as needed to maintain order and address concerns.
• Remain alert and attentive during assigned shifts to help to deter potential issues and uphold site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
