Security Officer - Museum Patrol Unarmed

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Museum Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a renowned cultural institution, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors, provide outstanding customer service, and support the secure operation of the location. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, galleries, and public spaces to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and first responders as needed to address concerns and provide assistance.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and/or activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
