Yard Spotter

Location: Molex Supply Chain Hub
Position Type: Full-time, Year-round

Position Summary

The Yard Spotter at Molex Supply Chain Hub plays a critical role in maintaining efficient trailer movement within the yard and dock areas. This role requires an active Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and the ability to operate trucks safely while coordinating with Department Managers and Team Leads. The Yard Spotter will also support various operational tasks including forklift operation, skid breakdown, housekeeping, and material handling based on workload and management direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Move trailers between dock doors and the yard as directed by department managers and team leads.
• Complete daily checklists for equipment and operational tasks.
• Escalate any truck or safety issues immediately to ensure safe yard operations.
• Refuel trucks offsite and accurately complete the daily yard report.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including but not limited to:
• Forklift operations
• Skid breakdown
• Housekeeping
• Material handling
• Work outdoors throughout the year, regardless of weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Active CDL (Commercial Driver's License) required.
• Ability to safely operate trucks and yard equipment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Strong safety awareness and the ability to identify and escalate safety concerns.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions from managers and team leads promptly and accurately.
• Previous experience with forklift operation, material handling, or yard operations is a plus.
