Accountant Associate - Pharmacy

  • Location: Location is dependant on candidate location
  • Pay Range: $21.00- $32.55
  • Shift: Days, Monday - Friday
  • Hours: 40 hours a week

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Complete HICS (Health Insurance Casework System) Cases as assigned by CMS.

* Assists with preparing monthly Budget Variance reports, including FTE's.

* Analyzes various premium billing accounts and contacts members regarding past due premiums.

* Assist with the coding of the department and spend category for vendor invoices.

* Prepares refund information for premium refunds and claim refunds for processing.

* Attend RegTap/CMS meetings and other training as needed.

* Assist other team members as needed in various duties.

* Assists with phone calls to Customer Service.

* Responds to vendors concerning payment of invoices.

* May be required to work overtime during peak periods.

Education and Experience

Associate Degree in Accounting or appropriate work experience.
Prior knowledge of computer spreadsheet applications preferred.

Certification and Licensure

Pharmacy Technician preferred

Skills and Abilities
Very high degree of accuracy required in calculation and recording
Strong interpretive and analytical skills
Computer and calculator skills
