Description
Temple University's Ethics and Compliance division is searching for a Civil Rights Compliance Specialist! - Bachelor's degree in higher education, counseling, human resources, or a related field. - Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in student affairs, case management, Title IX compliance, Title VI compliance, ADA, or similar work. - Knowledge of Title IX, Title VI, Title VII, ADA, VAWA, Clery Act, and other laws related to discrimination and harassment in education. - Experience providing trauma-informed, student- or employee centered support. - Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse populations and maintain neutrality in sensitive situations. - Excellent organizational and case management skills. - Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive and complex issues with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism. - Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain neutral and sensitive to all parties. - Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. - Capacity to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. - Commitment to equity and creating an inclusive campus climate. - Ability to organize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively and timely - Working knowledge of all applicable computer software, and management skills (including planning, negotiation, and communication skills Preferred - Master's degree in counseling, higher education, law, social work, or related field. - Prior experience in a Title IX, Title VI, or Equal Opportunity office at a higher education institution, including experience investigating complaints. - Experience with case management software This position requires a background check.
