About Petco Love Lost

Petco Love Lost is a national platform that helps reunite lost pets with their families through image recognition, community collaboration, and data integrations with shelters and partner platforms. As part of Petco Love, a life-changing nonprofit organization dedicated to helping pets find homes and stay in homes, we're building technology that saves lives.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Product Managerto help drive the next phase of Petco Love Lost's growth - connecting millions of pet parents, shelters, and partners through intelligent, data-driven experiences. You'll own major initiatives that bridge product strategy, technical execution, and cross-functional collaboration - bringing together AI/ML innovation, API-driven integrations, and a mission-first approach that unites the animal welfare community.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end product development - from discovery through launch - for high-impact features and integrations that advance our core mission of reuniting lost pets.

  • Partner closely with engineering, design, and data science to translate strategy into technical requirements, scalable services, and delightful user experiences.

  • Drive execution on API-based products and platform services, ensuring they are reliable, extensible, and easy for partners to adopt.

  • Use bothqualitative and quantitativeinsights to shape priorities, evaluate success, and iterate rapidly.

  • Collaborate across departments - marketing, partnerships, operations, and shelter engagement - to align goals, gather feedback, and build organizational buy-in.

  • Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform strategy, ensuring the system scales to support millions of records and users.

  • Advocate for our users - shelters, pet owners, and community partners - and find opportunities to improve their experience through thoughtful design and data-driven insights.

  • Stay current on AI/ML trends and data product best practices to inform roadmap direction and experimentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in aplatform, data, or AI/ML-drivenenvironment.

  • Demonstrated success executing complex strategies through APIs, backend services, or partner integrations.

  • Experience withagile or scrum-basedproduct development (we use our own adapted framework).

  • Strong analytical skills - comfortable working with data, dashboards, and research to drive decisions.

  • Excellent communicator who can inspire alignment across engineering, marketing, and external partners.

  • Mission-driven mindset and genuine interest in theanimal welfare communityor social-impact technology.
