Administrative Officer 2 CX Division of Hematology/Oncology Full Time 87332BR Job Summary Under the general direction of the Administrative Operations Manager, Administrative Officer II provides high-level administrative and operational support for Hematology faculty. This position delivers executive-level assistance, including managing calendars, planning travel, coordinating events, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. The role also supports faculty labs with procurement and reimbursements while juggling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. The Administrative Officer II serves as a key liaison across clinical, academic, and administrative functions, streamlining workflows and ensuring smooth departmental operations. Responsibilities include acting as the gatekeeper for faculty, organizing ad hoc committees and working groups, handling sensitive communications with discretion, and maintaining a comprehensive database of faculty initiatives to ensure timely completion of all assignments and deadlines. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $29.05 - $53.50 (Hourly Rate). Currently, the Division has 90 Full-time faculty, 11 part-time and/or volunteer faculty, 29 ACGME and non-ACGME fellows, 22 post- doctoral fellows, 32 non-faculty appointments and 48 administrative and research staff. The Division's primary research, clinical and teaching functions are primarily split between the Parnassus and Mission Bay campuses, although the faculty, fellows, and staff have appointments and clinical, research, and educational activities at ZSFG, and VAMC as well.
