The Travelers Championship is Connecticut's Signature PGA TOUR event, bringing the world's best golfers to TPC River Highlands each June. The tournament seeks talented college students searching for a dynamic internship experience.

This role is responsible for assisting the tournament's operation team with building out one of the PGA TOUR's Signature Events. This role's day-to-day activities include, but are not limited to, coordination of shipping and receiving logistics, daily schedule management and frequent documentation of operational activities and build tracking. This role will regularly require some form of physical labor (i.e. Deliveries) and require work to be performed outdoors, rain or shine.

  • Help with setup and distribute supplies for the Tournament Staff's move from Hartford to the golf course.
  • Act as the main point of contact for printer rental setup and maintenance.
  • Miscellaneous operational tasks as requested by Operations team.
Advance Week

  • Oversee organization of caddie bib names, range signage, and standards.
  • Maintain trailer key organization and distribution.
  • Assist with vendor load-ins as needed.
Tournament Week
  • Support the Command Center team with issue resolution daily.
  • Continue updating and tracking the operations schedule.
  • Photograph the entire buildout throughout the week.
Post-Tournament
  • Assist with on-course breakdown.
  • Help organize final summary files and inventory items from the 2026 event.
  • Organize all photos taken.
Time Commitment
  • This internship is in-person and will begin in early-April and end at the beginning of July.
  • Interns must be available daily once the Spring Semester ends through the beginning of July and are expected to be available weekends, evenings, and special occasions including Memorial Day, Father's Day, and college graduation season.
  • The nature of this program is that internship hours may be less demanding earlier in the year, with intensity increasing as the tournament nears.
  • It is difficult and not recommended to maintain additional employment in May and June leading up to the tournament.
  • This internship is a high intensity program and requires an extensive time commitment. We highly encourage students to ask questions during the application and interview process about the commitment level.
