Position Summary Clinically oriented hepatologist at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (rank/tenure commensurate with qualifications) to grow our liver center and transplant program. MD degree (or equivalent) and experience in clinical hepatology is required. Experience in transplant hepatology or separate fellowship for transplant is considered a major plus. Management of end stage liver disease, viral hepatitis and liver cancer constitutes a major part of our inpatient and outpatient practice. UIC is a large liver transplant center and is looking to expand its outreach substantially. Travel to Hepatology Outreach Clinic sites will be included in the Clinical Program. Academic productivity is expected and candidates with an interest in scholarly activity are encouraged to join our established program.
