Provides medical services to assigned patients. Diagnoses and manages acute and chronic illnesses and emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention. Provides services which include, but are not limited to ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests; prescription of pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic therapies; and teaching and counseling individuals and groups; assisting, performing and ordering procedures.

Provides medical services to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed physician within the supervising physician's scope of practice.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act required. Master of Science degree in Nursing with current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska required. Certification with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for prescriptive authority required.

OR

Graduate degree from a Physician's Assistant program required. Current licensure as a Physician Assistant required. Completion of Bryan credentialing and re-credentialing process required for employment. Certification with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for prescriptive authority required.

OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS:

Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification are required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
