What this job involves: The General Maintenance Technician supports comprehensive facility operations through inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. This hands-on role involves maintaining both interior and exterior building components, responding to emergency situations, and ensuring safe, functional environments for building occupants while complying with all safety procedures and documentation requirements.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

* Perform repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of building structural components including walls, flooring, roofing systems, and lighting

* Maintain and repair plumbing systems including toilets, urinals, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps

* Service and repair locks, doors, furniture, and access control systems throughout facilities

* Complete interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems

* Prepare surfaces, prime, and paint building interior and exterior areas as needed

* Conduct facility inspections and due diligence reporting on conditions impacting occupancy and operations

* Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts, and maintain building system documentation

* Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and materials as requested

* Respond to emergency situations and tenant service requests to resolve immediate safety concerns

Desired experience and technical skills:

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent

* 2-3 years of relevant experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrical work

* Strong oral and written communication skills

* Mechanical and electrical aptitude with ability to interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documents

* Ability to obtain certification to operate powered vehicular equipment (burden carriers, fork trucks, aerial lifts, etc.)

* Physical capability to lift, carry, and push equipment weighing 50+ pounds

* Ability to work in all weather conditions and climb ladders safely

* Reasoning ability to solve problems with known variables in routine situations

Preferred:

* Completion of applicable technical training program

* Experience with HVAC maintenance and building systems

* Familiarity with hazardous materials storage, usage, and disposal procedures

* Previous experience in commercial facility maintenance environments

Location: Malvern, PA, on-site

Shift/Schedule: 1St Shift/Dayshift

Salary: $45,000K - $65,200 / year

The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data
