What to Expect
The Material Planning group in Supply Chain is responsible for the reliable and efficient flow of all production materials to Tesla's factories and Service locations. The returnable packaging team manages packaging assets that are used to move parts between suppliers and Tesla factories. This is an analytical supply chain role, interacting with suppliers, Finance, Material Planning, Logistics, Global Supply Management, Packaging Engineering, and Production Control in order to ensure returnables packaging programs are running at best efficiency for packaging cost optimization. Flexibility and adaptability are key attributes needed for success in this role. Candidate should have strong analytical and project management skills to handle a variety of activities and complexities spanning the organization. Candidates should be willing to work at both a very detailed and strategic level. The ideal candidate will have a background in Supply Chain/Logistics analytics and processes.
What You'll Do
- Manage pre- and post-launch system readiness to handle returnable container flow in the supply chain - including data collection, configurations and maintenance. Support MRP/TMS/Packaging portal system updates, configuration, testing and launch processes
- Handle supplier packaging standards compliance including chargebacks, ASN accuracy, expendable packaging usage, etc.
- Lead new system enhancement deployments including process training and documentation for suppliers and internal stakeholders. Co-ordinate, input and maintain asset inventory data in the system for all the active returnables in all North American sites
- Resolve incoming issues and requests from stakeholders in a timely manner
- Identify key operational improvements for returnable packaging program. Support the packaging team with information for the monthly and quarterly reviews
- Issue statistical and detailed reporting for stakeholders as requested, using SQL to retrieve data from the backend and working with Excel/Power Query/Tableau to automate and mold data
- Support detailed data reviews, root-cause deviations/errors and report corrective procedures
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Analytics, Supply Chain, Management, or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience in analytics, financial or a supply chain role or projects is a plus
- Understanding of supply chain and production systems procedures within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with SQL, Tableau/other BI tools, MS Excel and Program Management tools
- Familiar with analytical skills such as supply chain analysis, data manipulation, and the ability to create information from data
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high quality results
- Proficient communication skills to carry out cross-functional projects and work with large number of stakeholders efficiently

Expected Compensation
$68,000 - $120,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
