Position Summary - Operation Team Clerk

This position provides administrative and clerical support for the Maintenance department including: copying, performing simple calculations, and maintaining records and systems following standard operating procedures.

Shift Schedule: Part Time

Workdays: Monday through Friday
Hours: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Hourly Rate: $20.00/hr

This position provides administrative and clerical support for the Maintenance department including: copying, performing simple calculations, and maintaining records and systems following standard operating procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Driving Company Performance

  • Work with equipment manufacturers and maintenance staff on set up of preventive maintenance tasks and spare parts inventory for supported equipment.
  • Maintain an up-to-date library of machine manuals, prints and schematics.
  • Maintain computerized procurement and inventory records by data entry in MP2 by account, cost center and project.
  • Operate MP2 program and Crystal Reports: prints corrective work orders daily, preventive maintenance work orders weekly and parts automatic orders monthly.
  • Close corrective and preventive maintenance work orders upon completion including pertinent information for equipment files.
  • Support Parts and Inventory Team in parts sourcing efforts when additional help is needed.
  • Work closely with maintenance staff on continuously improving programs by editing tasks and frequencies when approved by Manager.
  • Generate back-order report, inventory and PM productivity reports for Management.
  • Support Plant Maintenance Manager on special projects as needed.
  • Generate monthly auto order requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Provide copies of daily shift summary reports to Manager and enter data into GAP spreadsheet daily.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports for plant management related to maintenance performance.
  • Track maintenance monthly spending.
  • Train maintenance team on MP2 processes.
  • Complete all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
  • Follow all required work safe practices, including lockout-tagout requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

Preferred

Work Experience

Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training

Experience in food and beverage industry

Education

High School diploma or Equivalent

Technical Knowledge

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to write legibly to complete paperwork
  • Basic Math skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Follow and comply with all safety standards

This position operates primarily within a controlled office environment. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. Employees may experience swings in work-related demands of this position.
