Dispatch Services Associate 2

Scope of Position
Responsible for coordinating and communicating Medical Center cleaning request by dispatching custodial workers to various cleaning requests, which may include, but not limited to: Patient discharge room cleaning, spill clean-up, and public area cleaning. The Ohio State Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients, visitors and staff. This position encompasses communication and coordination.

Position Summary
Medical Center standards require all discharges to be cleaned within 60 minutes from the time of notification by Bed Placement. The Environmental Services Dispatcher is responsible for assessing customer needs, coordinating custodial workers to meet customer requests, and delivering Service Excellence. This position is also responsible for preparing and maintaining periodic reports and records related to: Patient discharge room cleaning, special cleaning requests, etc. The Environmental Services Dispatcher promotes teamwork through mutual respect for associates, developing positive interpersonal relationships and lending assistance as needed.

Required Qualifications
PER CCS Class Specs: 7th grade education plus: may require 1 course in typing (or 1 mo. exp.); 1 course in public relations (or 1 mo. exp.); or equivalent.
