Lead Housekeeper / Laundry

Pay Range: $22.00-$24.00

Full-Time: Monday-Friday 6:45am-3:15pm (Some weekend availability)

Summary:

Detailed responsibilities:
* Lead Housekeeper/Laundry
- Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction
- In the absence of direct supervisor, is responsible for directing work of housekeeping staff, making decisions based on immediate needs and coordinating housekeeping services with other departments
- Monitors and maintains appropriate inventory of cleaning supplies, distributes and requisitions Provide to Housekeeping Supervisor for ordering and budgetary guidelines
- Maintains presence in housekeeping department to answers questions from residents, staff, vendors, and department heads and to respond to emergency and special housekeeping needs
- Monitor laundry/washing and drying, levels in chemical containers, identify damaged items, and remove lint and debris from dryer screens
- Reports when equipment, structures, or furniture needs repair Immediately completes maintenance or housekeeping work order if necessary
- Assists in the training of new hires Provides in-service to housekeepers as directed
- Available to perform housekeeping and custodial duties, make deliveries and covers for absent staff
- Makes reports to Director of Housekeeping regarding staff performance, work assignments and other housekeeping issues
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws which may include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Follows highest standards of cleanliness
- Follows department safety standards, practice body mechanic techniques and participate in campus-wide safety programs
- Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner Wears PPE/safety equipment as required for the job Reports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor
- Attends all mandatory in-service meetings Complies with all department and facilities policies and procedures

- All employees are required to follow safe work habits in order to prevent injuries to themselves, residents, visitors or other employees

Credentials:

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* 1 year certificate from college or technical school
