Job Description:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for locating, developing and signing Commercial Fleets, National Accounts, Federal, State and Local Governments tire and service programs for Car Care operations within AAA-ACG market areas. Provide exceptional member and client experience by effectively representing AAA in a manner that will develop a profitable and sustainable network of accounts. Manages on-going relationships by supporting the defined sales process and systems, to ensure maximum productivity and to meet budgeted revenue and expense targets for the program(s). Duties may include:

  • Works with associates, outside vendors, and through cold calling to solicit new commercial fleet account/business.
  • Works closely with Car Care managers to acquire new commercial fleet business.
  • Collaborate with Car Care Managers to provide high-quality service experience within the stores and maintain relationships with fleet clients.
  • Creates and produces commercial fleet program training materials.
  • Conduct seminars and training classes on the commercial fleet programs.
  • Conducts sales presentations to prospective customers and internal AAA Partners.
  • Mail out sales letters and commercial fleet product information to prospective customers.
  • Works closely with the Car Care personnel on improving retail site volume growth and profitability though fleet account sales.
  • Utilizes relationship management skills to work with existing commercial fleet customers in upgrading and/or resolving their commercial fleet program needs.
  • Manage existing accounts by making sales calls and getting feedback from the clients.
  • Serves as liaison between customers, retail field operations, payment processing team, IT team and National Account partners.
  • Works closely with National Account partners in resolving customer billing problems/issues.
  • Grows the AAA Car Care brand name, and tire and service menu.
  • Proactively delivers superior customer satisfaction by anticipating customer's needs.
  • Actively participates in the development and implementation of commercial fleet marketing programs.
  • Keep abreast of competitive fleet programs and offers, as well as attending and participating in industry trade shows and vendor fairs.
  • Monitors and reports monthly production.
  • Conduct financial and productivity analysis on accounts and programs.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma, GED or Technical school graduate/certification
  • Possession of a good driving record and a valid State driver's license.

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of directly related automotive or customer service experience
  • 3 to 5 years of successfully coaching and developing others
  • Experience analyzing causes of problems based on financial statements and metrics, as well as developing and recommending solutions
  • Experience communicating and advising facility owners, customers or members regarding standards, policies and procedures
  • Experience resolving member/customer service issues

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to build rapport and trust, understand different personalities and strengths in others, and modify approach accordingly.
  • Complaint management, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to review a business situation and using financial data/metrics, develop strategies and implement plans to support a successful business model.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Automobile maintenance and operation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Communications or a related field, is preferred.
  • Technical training in automotive repair and previous experience in the automotive industry.

Work Environment

Frequent travel required (up to 60% of work time) with exposure to road hazards and temperature extremes.
