    The Opportunity

    Ulteig is seeking qualified candidates for a Renewables Market Technical Lead- Electrical to join our team. This position will play a key role in driving the growth and successful delivery of Ulteig's electrical engineering offerings within the renewable energy sector. The selected candidate will collaborate with the Renewable Market Leaders (sales group) and interface directly with technical leadership, project execution teams, and business development stakeholders. They will help grow the department revenue by strengthening client partnerships, advancing key pursuits, and enhancing operational efficiency across all project delivery phases. The candidate will manage and establish scalable processes that enhance proposal quality, streamline project handoffs, and strengthen client satisfaction across our renewable's portfolio. The successful candidate will bring exceptional leadership, a strategic mindset, and the ability to resolve and manage complex, cross-functional challenges. This role will report directly to the department director.

    What You'll Do

    Proposal Development & Support - 60%



    • Lead electrical engineering proposal efforts for renewable projects, including technical scoping, pricing validation, and narrative development.
    • Contribute to business planning, pipeline forecasting, and annual target development.
    • Develop scalable tools (checklists, mind maps) to improve proposal quality.
    • Maintain pursuit documentation and opportunity tracking with Market Leaders and Client Team Leads.
    • Participate in go/no-go discussions and provide technical insights during RFP calls and client pre-bid meetings.
    • Drive post-proposal evaluations and lessons learned reviews


    Client Engagement, Market Coordination & Internal Project Tracking - 20%



    • Support Client Team Leads and Market Leaders by participating in client meetings, client feedback sessions, and escalated communications.
    • Participate in or lead client meetings during escalated situations, particularly when project-level challenges may impact long-term client relationships.
    • Assist in the preparation of demos, SOQs, and client presentations for new and existing clients.
    • Work closely with strategic planning and business development teams to ensure service offerings support client roadmaps and future partnership opportunities.
    • Work with Client Teams Leads to understand market pricing for electrical engineering services.
    • Collaborate with the project management team to proactively monitor ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with proposals for upcoming opportunities.


    Department Initiative Support - 20%



    • Coordinate priority initiatives, scheduling, and team support with department leadership.
    • Work collaboratively with departmental teams to design and implement a comprehensive tracking system for all departmental and team initiatives.
    • Meet regularly with the Engineering Center of Excellence to align and share progress on initiatives.


    What We Expect from You





      • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field.
      • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering project execution within the renewable energy sector.
      • Advanced technical engineering knowledge, with the ability to understand and resolve complex civil engineering challenges.
      • Proven experience in technical proposal development and client engagement.
      • Ability to manage ambiguity, create structure, and build scalable processes.
      • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
      • Must have a valid driver's license, or the ability to obtain one before starting date.
      • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S or Canada.
      • Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
      • Must be able to travel to the US and Canada.

    Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $108,000 - $146,000
    * Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
