Job Summary:
M1 is looking for a Payroll Specialist who will assist with implementing the company payroll process
including guidance and direction in relation to contractual and business responsibilities Company-
wide IAW the PWS, FAR, and company policies and industry standards.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Prepares and processes payroll in an accurate, compliant, and timely manner. Create and load payroll data
batches in Prime. Processes pay adjustments such as shift differentials, timecard corrections, and employee
receivables.
* Processes special transactions (e.g. retroactive pay, mid-period increases, and bonuses). Processes union
dues payments. Processes short term disability payments/reconciliations.
* Add stipends (per CBA) to new hires, rehires, and transfers as needed. Process accrual adjustments for
employee transfers. Add earn codes to employees' profiles as needed. Processes military LES's. Performs
timecard reviews. Creates timecard weeks in Prime.
* Applies knowledge of business, payroll, and company policies towards company business/financial
operations.
* Processes pension reports and payments, LOA accruals, adjustments, and performs timecard reviews.
* Processes Tricare payments/reconciliations.
* Responds to and assists with internal/external audits including 401K, pension, DCAA, workers comp, and
other government agency requests. Performs General Ledger reconciliations.
* Performs and reports on testing payroll processes to verify payroll, timecards, and vacation & sick balances.
Answers and provide labor reports when assisting with individual employee payroll problems.
* Utilizes Humanic (HD) system for payroll reporting and processing SUI taxes, labor, general ledger, and
benefits.
* Processes benefit, FBC, and H&W adjustments due to changes or LOA missed payments.
* Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease cycle time, and streamline workflow
processes.
* Develops and sustains a culture of safety, quality compliance, and professionalism.
* Ensures compliance with directives, work standards, and company policies relating to financial/business
operations.
* Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Five years of business management/payroll experience.
* Bachelor's Degree in related field desired. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
* Knowledge of Department of Defense and business operations and policies and individual CBAs as they relate
to a DoD contract service provider is required.
* Must possess strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Must be proficient in MS Office.

* Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
* Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a
professional and non-confrontational attitude.
Working Conditions:
* Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a
computer.
* Must be able to work extended hours or weekends to meet deadlines.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
