Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work hybrid with our client in Fort Worth, TX. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • We are seeking a Transmissions Design Engineer to be responsible for the design, development, and support of elegant and safe aircraft system solutions that exceed customer expectations for mission success.
  • Transmission designers work with gears, bearings, seals, housings, lubrication systems, and drive shafts within the drive system and utilize traditional manufacturing methods such as machining, castings, and forgings, as well as advanced technologies in additive manufacturing.
  • Typical tasks include preparing drawing revisions and Engineering Change Orders, preparing Engineering Instructions and specification revisions, creating conceptual layouts, performing preliminary component sizing, and completing detail design tolerancing/stack-ups.
  • As a Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to interact with Analysts, Material and Process Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Test Engineers, and suppliers to drive designs to closure.

Here's what you'll get:

  • Pay rate: $25.34-$105.00/Hour.
  • Hours: 4/10-1st Shift
  • Length: Temp (12 Months)

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in component design and manufacturing
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with CATIA
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Design for Manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in Transmissions.
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • Have a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Have an understanding of loading and dynamics in mechanical assemblies
  • Be highly competitive and motivated to take ownership of commitments and meet objectives
  • Be capable of managing complex tasks and drive them to successful outcomes, and possess excellent communication and technical writing skills.
