Job Description




As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol in Northville, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong presence throughout the site. You will engage with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious behavior throughout the facility.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment and address client needs.
  • Remain alert and attentive while on duty, adapting to changing conditions and requirements of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
