SUMMARY: The Human Resources Generalist provides hands-on HR support across assigned locations to support Wagner Logistics' goal of being an employer of choice. This role partners closely with the VP of Human Resources, hiring managers, and site leadership to deliver effective HR services, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, training, compliance, and performance management. Regular onsite travel is required to support operational locations.

What You'll Be Doing:
Recruiting & Onboarding
* Drive full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, selection, and offers.
* Partner with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies and ensure positions are filled within approved salary guidelines.
* Interview candidates for skills, experience, and cultural fit.
* Coordinate and support new hire onboarding and orientation in partnership with Payroll, Benefits, and Corporate HR.
* Ensure new hire documentation is completed accurately and uploaded to the HR system in a timely manner.
* Support recruiting and onboarding needs for new locations and new account startups.

Employee Relations & HR Support
* Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned locations, providing onsite and remote HR support as needed.
* Advise managers and employees on company policies, procedures, and HR best practices.
* Support employee relations issues, including investigations, coaching, and progressive discipline.
* Serve as an employee advocate while balancing business and compliance needs.
* Escalate complex employee relations matters to HR leadership as appropriate.

Training & Development
* Coordinate and support training initiatives related to job performance, safety, compliance, and leadership development.
* Provide or coordinate interview skills, anti-harassment, and other required training for supervisors and managers.
* Support employee engagement, morale, and retention initiatives at assigned locations.

Compensation, Benefits & Wellness
* Assist with the administration and communication of employee benefit programs.
* Support annual open enrollment activities and employee education.
* Assist management with performance management and appraisal processes.
* Partner with Corporate HR to support health, wellness, and engagement initiatives.

HR Systems, Records & Compliance
* Serve as the site expert for HR systems and train supervisors and employees on HR tools.
* Maintain accurate employee records and ensure required documentation is uploaded to the HR system in accordance with company standards.
* Maintain job descriptions, organizational charts, and HR-related reports.
* Support compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and audit requirements.

Projects & Continuous Improvement
* Lead or participate in HR projects and initiatives aligned with company objectives.
* Support implementation of new HR programs, processes, and system enhancements.
* Identify opportunities to improve HR workflows, documentation, and service delivery.
* Partner with Corporate HR and operations leaders on cross-functional projects.
* Track project milestones, deliverables, and outcomes assigned.
* Support change management efforts related to new programs, policies, or systems.

Travel & Site Support
* Travel regularly to assigned warehouse and operational locations to provide on-site HR support.
* Support new location launches, transitions, and operational needs that require onsite HR presence.
* Travel may include multiple locations and occasional overnight stays based on business needs.

HR Judgement, Decision-Making, & Critical Thinking
* Apply HR policies, employment law, and best practices to day-to-day decision-making.
* Evaluate employee relations issues and determine appropriate actions independently within scope.
* Assess risk, consistency, and precedent before making or recommending HR decisions.
* Provide clear, well-reasoned guidance to leaders based on facts, policy, and business context.
* Identify when issues require escalation versus independent resolution.
* Use data, trends, and past outcomes to inform decisions and recommendations.
* Regularly exercises independent professional judgement to assess complex and sensitive HR matters, including hiring and pre-employment determinations, interpretation of background and drug screening results, and guidance on disciplinary actions.

What You Need:
To thrive in this role, you've got to have the goods. Here's what we're looking for:
A. Education: A Bachelor's Degree is our ideal choice, preferably in warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
B. Experience: 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
C. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and leadership.
* High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
* Strong working knowledge of HR systems and standard office applications.
* Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Physical & Work Conditions
* Work is performed in a hybrid environment, including office and warehouse settings.
* The role requires regular standing, walking, sitting, and movement between work areas.
* to use a computer, telephone, and standard office equipment.
* Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
* Exposure to warehouse environments, including noise, temperature variations, and moving equipment.
* Regular travel to multiple operational locations is required, including occasional evening and overnight travel for business needs such as annual manager meetings, HR summits, and other company events. Participation in activities outside standard business hours may be required due to operational demands.
* Regular interaction with employees in high-stress or emotionally charged situations is required, including de-escalation, effective communication under pressure, and the appropriate evaluation and routing of employee relations, leave, and accommodation requests in accordance with company policy and compliance requirements.
