Widener University's Center for Continuing Studies is currently seeking highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach in the following fields: Math, Public Policy & Economics

Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 or 2 courses each semester on an "as needed" basis. Courses available for adjunct staffing are offered in online, hybrid and evening formats.

Adjunct faculty are expected to teach, provide support and guidance to students; facilitate on-line or campus based courses and respond to student needs in a timely fashion; develop strategies to teach the course for the entire semester or session, use the course syllabus template; meet the university's academic standards; organize and prepare course materials for facilitation; utilize educational technology to engage students and enhance learning; connect students' current study to real-world applications; demonstrate consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of assignments; provide timely feedback to students; maintain students' grade book and complete final grades by the deadline.

Complete applications are to include a cover letter that identifies preferred courses, C.V. and contact information for three professional references. This is a pooled position from which Adjunct will be hired. As openings occur, applicants will be hired from this pool.
