PACCAR's Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

The AI Product Management internship will participate in product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with information technology, engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer goals are met.

This role will work closely with multiple business, engineering, operations, and finance teams to research, conceive, design, develop and deliver products that create value for customers and grow business opportunities for PACCAR. This internship creates business plans for new products and services that address the needs of PACCAR's dealers, customers and partners.

As an AI Product Manager Intern, you will work with the AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE). The AICoE is a unique team within PACCAR as it focuses on solving PACCAR's most important challenges using Data and Advanced Analytics. As part of a diversified global Fortune 500 company, the AICoE works on a huge variety of projects; from predictive analytics models to support our financial services divisions, prescriptive analytics to support PACCAR's sales efforts, and data mining projects to identify the drivers of warranty claims. • Support the AI/ML product vision, strategy, and roadmap by assisting senior Product Managers with research, documentation, and competitive analysis.
• Help translate business requirements into structured product requirement documents (PRDs) including problem statements, goals, and user needs.
• Participate in discovery sessions with crossfunctional stakeholders across IT, Engineering, Manufacturing, Aftermarket, Finance, and Purchasing.
• Work closely with Data Science, MLOps, and Engineering teams to understand how models move from experimentation to production.
• Assist product teams with backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews using tools such as Jira.
• Help identify product dependencies, risks, and opportunities with guidance from senior PMs.
• Learn and support processes related to experiment tracking, model deployment, monitoring, and retraining cycles.
• Collaborate with teams to document workflows, model evaluation criteria, and responsible AI practices.
• Support collection and analysis of product metrics, KPIs, user feedback, and operational performance data using tools like Tableau.
• Participate in user research, UI/UX feedback sessions, and design discussions for analytics workflows, dashboards, and decision support systems.
• Assist with A/B testing design, execution tracking, and adoption strategies to improve user satisfaction and engagement.
• Assist with documentation for budgeting processes or funding memos under direction from senior staff.
• Demonstrate curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to learn from technical and business teams.

• Foundational knowledge of AI/ML concepts, statistics, data pipelines, and model lifecycle.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and basic understanding of modern AI/ML technologies.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills; comfortable working with data using Python, Jira, SQL, or BI tools.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation abilities, with an interest in communicating technical ideas to nontechnical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Interest in Agile development practices (Scrum or Kanban).
• Strong problem solving and communication skills with positive attitude

• Currently pursuing or having recently completed a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Business, or a related field.
