Job Description

The IT Task Force Manager is responsible for providing hands-on technical support, project and infrastructure assistance across multiple regional properties.

This role is primarily based out of the Charlotte, North Carolina hotel - Omni Charlotte Hotel, and travels regularly to other properties nationwide to support IT initiatives, special projects, and properties without on-site IT support. The ideal candidate is adaptable, service-oriented, and comfortable working independently in dynamic environments. Travel to exceed 50%.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring that hardware, software, systems, and related procedures align with organizational standards and support the success of associates and vendors. The Task Force IT Manager reports to the Regional Senior Manager.

Location: Charlotte, NC (On-site) with 50%+ travel required



Responsibilities

    Install, configure, maintain, and support computer hardware, software, peripherals, and related infrastructure
  • Travel to Omni properties nationwide to assist with IT projects, system upgrades, deployments, and new openings
  • Provide ongoing IT support for properties without on-site IT personnel, ensuring operational continuity and service quality
  • Comply with corporate policy and procedures to maintain compliance with PCI standards and other Corporate IT standards.
  • Ensure operating systems, applications, patches, and service packs are kept current and compliant with company standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate with regional IT leadership, vendors, and property teams to deliver consistent IT services
  • Document systems, configurations, and support activities as required
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and recommend improvements where applicable
  • Uphold organizational values and best practices in all technical and customer-facing interactions


Qualifications

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on IT support experience in a multi-location or enterprise environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, hardware deployment, and basic networking concepts
  • Experience supporting end users in a customer-focused environment
  • Ability to travel frequently and work independently at remote locations
  • Previous hospitality, healthcare, or retail experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR a minimum of 3 years of relevant IT experience
  • Preferred Experience: Opera PMS | Micros POS | Networking | Microsoft O365
  • Knowledge in hardware troubleshooting, software installation, telephone, and voicemail system installation
  • Good verbal/written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Responsibilities will require working off-hours due to critical system outages, upgrades, etc. More specifically, nights/holidays may be required based on the needs of the hotel/business.
