DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Roadway Programs Technician 2, you will provide assistance to the Roadway Programs Coordinator (RPC) in budgeting, planning, and analyzing of data for the review of maintenance activities, programs, and costs within Montgomery County. You will be responsible for purchases involving equipment, fuel, services, utilities, and building/grounds maintenance, as well as coordinating the removal and pickup of scrap metals, waste oil, and hazmat. You will also prepare and monitor rented equipment bids through e-procurement in conjunction with maintenance activities and annual work plan needs. In addition, you will assist the RPC with budget development and monitoring by preparing expenditure reports, monitoring, and adjusting purchase documents.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Roadway Programs Technician 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment, and an Associate's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or closely related program; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
