About the Job

The ENACT Research Group is seeking a part-time Postdoctoral Associate to assist with a study to investigate how digital health can improve food access and education in food preparation. Primary responsibilities conducting interviews, supervising research assistants, managing and analyzing data, and assisting with grants and manuscripts. The employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.

Focus of Job Responsibilities

Ongoing Research (70%)

* Lead a study that uses digital strategies to improve food access and literacy.
* Test and refine technology applications for dietary tracking, nutritional analysis, or meal planning.
* Assist the PI in drafting IRB protocols and standard operating procedures.
* Oversee data collection and management.
* Lead meetings with project collaborators and funding agencies.
* Analyze data and develop figures and tables for publications and grants.

Scientific Writing and Presentation (20%)

* Write scientific manuscripts.
* Generate research posters and presentations.

Other (10%)

* Mentor students or research professionals involved in the research project.

Work Profile
The Research and Innovation Office (RIO) and The Hormel Institute endorses a "work with flexibility" approach that offers a welcoming and flexible work environment where everyone is inspired to do their best. Work location options include working fully remote, partially remote, or entirely in the office and are based on the work of the position. Some on-site work may be necessary for certain positions, even those designated as fully remote. This position has been designated as eligible for Flexible Work Profile Four.
Profile Four, Fully Remote - Only occasionally visiting the office. Typically spends 4 or less days per month working in the office/lab on average. Your dedicated office space will be in your remote work location. The Hormel Institute management retains the right to modify flexible work arrangement agreements on a temporary or permanent basis for any reason at any time.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Has a PhD in health sciences or a related field
* Led nutrition-related projects
* Expertise in data analysis
* Record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
* Ability to work independently
* Strong organizational and communication (verbal, written) skills
* Attentive to detail
* Must be willing to live in Minnesota

Preferred Qualifications

* Coordinated human research studies

Physical & Environmental Requirements

* Long periods at a computer terminal

The Hormel Institute is an independent biomedical research institution within the University of Minnesota's Research and Innovation Office. Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $29.00-$30.00; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
