Project Manager, People Analytics & Innovation

The Project Manager, People Analytics & Innovation, provides project management support for people-related initiatives across Duke University Health System. This role supports a diverse set of stakeholders, including Nursing and Patient Care Services, and partners closely with HR, clinical, operational, and technology teams. Embedded within the People Analytics & Innovation HR Center of Excellence, the Project Manager coordinates workstreams, manages resources, and supports change management for initiatives that leverage technology, data, and innovation to advance enterprise priorities and ensure timely, effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination



  • Develop and maintain project plans, including tasks, timelines, deliverables, and interdependencies.
  • Assess project scope and break down work into manageable workstreams.
  • Document decisions, track progress, and communicate timelines to project teams.



Project Execution & Monitoring



  • Track project milestones, risks, and issues, and escalate as needed.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.
  • Identify process improvements and support adoption of technology or analytics solutions as part of project execution.



Stakeholder & Team Management



  • Facilitate project meetings and communicate status to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including HR, operational, and technical resources, to achieve project goals.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal partners to ensure alignment with project objectives.



Resource & Technology Support



  • Manage project resources, including documentation, tools, and other materials.
  • Collaborate with HR and technology teams to implement HR systems and analytics solutions.
  • Align technology resources with project timelines and organizational priorities.



Communication & Change Management



  • Deliver clear, concise updates to stakeholders regarding project progress, changes, and outcomes.
  • Support change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, systems, or analytics tools.



Minimum Qualifications

Education

Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.



Experience

Four or more years of experience in project management or program administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
