About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Automation Engineer to join our core team responsible for developing and operating software that enhances the effectiveness of our members, support teams, network engineers, and break-fix teams. This role requires deep expertise in network engineering and a passion for automation, playing a critical part in maintaining and evolving our network and monitoring infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deploy, and operate automation software solutions, primarily using Python and Ansible, including writing new scripts and maintaining/debugging existing code to streamline workflows for internal and external support teams

  • Play a key role in the automation of device detection, identification, and monitoring across AV, network, security, and systems infrastructure

  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of the Zabbix monitoring platform and other related systems

  • Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot monitoring and visualization tools, including Zabbix and Grafana

  • Engage in hands-on management and configuration of multi-vendor network environments, specifically Juniper, Cisco, and Brocade/Ruckus equipment

  • Collaborate closely with software engineers to design and build full-stack self-service tools that empower the wider team to operate more efficiently

  • Contribute to the team's ongoing initiatives for improving network reliability and operational efficiency through automation

About You

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology and 5+ years of relevant industry experience or combination of education and/or experience

  • Network engineering proficiency, with a strong focus on automation principles and practices

  • Extensive experience with scripting and programming, particularly Python and Ansible

  • Familiarity with database technologies and SQL

  • Working knowledge of JavaScript is a plus

  • Hands-on experience with major network vendor hardware and operating systems (Juniper, Cisco, Brocade/Ruckus)

  • Solid experience administering and configuring network monitoring platforms such as Zabbix and Grafana

  • Ability to work effectively in a small, fast-paced team environment and collaborate across different engineering disciplines

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges

Compensation & Benefits

Base Pay:$140,000 to $170,000 annually

Incentive Compensation:WeWork employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan specific to their role. Your recruiter will detail what incentive plan is applicable to this specific role. WeWork incentive plans are subject to the terms of the applicable incentive compensation plan, which will be made available to you after commencing employment. WeWork reserves the right to amend its incentive plans, and nothing in this job requisition or any other document creates a right to a specific incentive plan payment.

Benefits:Full-time employees are eligible for comprehensive benefits (subject to the terms of applicable plans/policies/agreements, which will be made available to you after commencing employment), including: 20 days of PTO, approximately 13 paid holidays, and 80 hours of paid sick time per full calendar year; 16 weeks paid parental leave; competitive healthcare benefits; 401k plan; and life and AD&D insurance.
