Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) offers one of the most forward-looking educational environments in dental medicine in the country. What You'll Do

  • TUSDM operates a 300+ seat clinic featuring small dental equipment, radiology equipment, and digital/imaging technology.Reporting to the Manager of Operations & Equipment, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and long-term planning of all dental equipment not including dental chairs and dental delivery units.
  • This will include inventory management, equipment support workflow development and enforcement, as well as oversee the new equipment intake.
  • This individual will work collaborate heavily with the Director of Digital Dentistry, Clinical Dean, Materials Management team, as well as clinical department staff.
  • This individual will also be the main point of contact for external vendors supporting equipment.
  • This position will support both the main Dental School at 1 Kneeland Street and the 7 Tufts Clinics for Special Care. This position will require regular travel to clinics.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required. Travel will be reimbursed.
  • This position will be based mainly on-site with limited opportunities to work remotely.
  • This person can expect standing work 40% of the time, and seated work 60% of the time.

What We're Looking For

Basic Requirements:

  • Knowledge and skills as typically acquired through completion of a Bachelors Degree and 3+ years of administrative experience.
  • Experience in an educational institution or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage vendors, faculty, and administrative partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with dental equipment, and scanning technology.

Pay Range

Minimum $65,900.00, Midpoint $82,300.00, Maximum $98,800.00

Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
