This role provides leadership in earned value management across major and complex projects, ensuring performance is measured, understood and communicated with clarity. By integrating cost, schedule and progress data, the EVM Lead supports informed decision making for project teams and customers, helping Worley deliver projects that are commercially robust, responsibly managed and aligned with our ambition to be recognized globally as a leader in sustainability solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, implementation and governance of earned value management frameworks across major and complex projects, ensuring consistent application and alignment with Worley and customer requirements.

  • Integrate cost, schedule and progress measurement to provide a clear and accurate view of project performance, trends and forecast outcomes.

  • Prepare and review earned value reports and performance narratives that support transparent, timely and well-informed decision making by project leadership and customers.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for earned value management, providing expert guidance to project managers, project controls teams and stakeholders.

  • Analyze performance variances and trends, identifying risks and opportunities early and working with project teams to develop practical, value-focused responses.

  • Support planning and execution teams to ensure work breakdown structures, control accounts and performance measurement methods are fit for purpose and aligned to project scope.

  • Engage with site teams as required to validate progress measurement, ensuring field performance is accurately reflected in earned value data.

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to project controls and EVM practitioners, supporting capability development and consistent use of systems, processes and tools.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Worley's project controls and digital delivery practices, strengthening our ability to deliver complex projects efficiently and responsibly.

  • Apply Worley's values, safety culture and sustainability principles in all aspects of performance management, supporting outcomes that balance delivery certainty with long-term value creation.


Qualifications / Skill Set
  • Degree qualification in engineering, construction management, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience in complex project environments.

  • Advanced experience applying earned value management on large and technically complex projects within the energy, chemicals or resources sectors.

  • Strong understanding of integrated project controls, including cost control, scheduling, progress measurement and forecasting.

  • Proven ability to interpret complex performance data and translate it into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated capability to lead and influence multidisciplinary teams, providing direction, assurance and technical guidance.

  • High level of competence with project controls systems, processes and digital tools, with the ability to support others and resolve issues.

  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain complex performance information in an accessible and practical way.

  • A pragmatic, disciplined and collaborative approach, aligned with Worley's role as a straight-talking partner delivering sustainable change.
