Title:Individual Major Gifts Officer

Location:Washington, D.C./ hybrid

Reports To:SeniorManager Individual Major Gifts

The Developmentdepartment is an integralcomponentof theElizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF), whosepurposeisto raisevital unrestricted funds to advance EGPAF's mission to end AIDS in children and to ensure every child has a full and healthy life.This dynamic teamsecuresfunding through annual campaigns, major gifts, funding partnerships, digital engagement,events, and more.

The Individual Major GiftsOfficerwill providecritical supportto meetthe fundraising goals of a fast-paced Development department, focusing on fundraising initiatives ofindividualdonors that giveat the level of$500or above annually. The ideal candidate willcollaborate withinternal teams,leadership,andboard membersto align donor interests with organizational priorities,maintainaccuraterecords in the CRM, and track progress toward goals. The position plays a critical role in donor retention, growth, and long-term sustainability of theindividualmajor donorbase.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supportthe EGPAFIndividualMajorGiftsprogramtobuild andmaintaina strong donor pipeline,managingrelationshipsandsecuringsupport from donors whocan makegifts of $500and greater.
  • Collaboratewith the Sr.Manager of Individual Major Gifts to develop, cultivate, and manage a pipeline of high net-worth donors for the organization. This includes solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship strategies for the overallDevelopment department.
  • Supportcultivation and stewardship events for major donors.
  • Managesystems and software to track and cultivate donors and prospects, including our donor Salesforce database andDonorSearchwealth screeningtool.
  • Assistwith the strategizing, creation,and management ofhigh-net-worth individual eventsand peer-to-peeropportunities including but not limitedto:
  • Individual stewardship events,networkleveragingopportunities, donor circles, lunch n' learns,etc.; with support from theSr.Managerand otherDevelopment teamstaff.
  • Managethe day-to-day functions ofEGPAF'sPlannedGivingprogram to builda legacy society fortheorganizationandaccompanyingdonor benefits. Workjointly with theSeniorManager of Individual Major Gifts andtheVP to recommend and engage prospective legacy members.
  • WorkalongsideDevelopmentteamtocollaboratewithEGPAF'steam responsible for external engagement and communicationsin their developmentofintegratedcommunications and marketingthatsupportdonorstewardship and cultivation touchpoints.
  • Coordinatedonor recognition opportunities.
Qualifications
  • 5years of relevant progressive development experiencepreferred,withthe ability to show results from past individual giving and/or event fundraising experienceinthenon-profitsector.
  • Bachelor'sdegree.
  • Experience with donor databasesisrequired; Salesforce experiencepreferred.
  • Familiarity with allfacetsof development and a demonstrable understanding of how toengage with existing and prospective high-net-worth individualdonorsandother philanthropic partners.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, along withdirect experience working effectively across organizational and functional roles withina non-profit.
  • Comfortmanaging concurrent prioritiesin a dynamicandcollaborativeorganization.
  • Experience with global health, healthcare, HIV/AIDSorchildren'scausesa plus.
  • ProficiencywiththeMicrosoft Office.
  • Experience in Washington, DC,NYCand LA donor markets preferred.
  • Ability to travelwithin theU.S.to events for donor engagement.
Additional Information

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this position is $53,733-$67,166 annually in the Washington, DC Metro area. For US-based remote staff, EGPAF uses geographical ranges that are based on the candidate's location and the associated cost of labor.Actual base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as qualifications, experience and training, education and certifications, internal equity, external market data, and budget.
