Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Controls Manager and Project Manager's with Costpoint, Cost Tracking, Scheduling and Forecasting responsibilities as assigned.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to gather Cost and Schedule Updates.
  • Interface with Clients on an as-directed basis.
  • Attend project meetings and assist in developing project schedules.
  • Perform cost and schedule analysis on projects assigned, and alert Management of any potential risks or issues observed.
  • Assist the Project Controls Manager in an Ad Hoc and Agile Environment.
  • Utilize Critical Thinking to develop reports to assist Management with Analysis and Decision Making. This role requires the successful candidate to be a Solution Provider.
  • Attend project meetings to gather pertinent details for Cost and Schedule Updates.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the Project Controls Department.
  • Research and track material costs, labor rates, and other relevant pricing factors within the industry.
  • Prepare Project Review Meeting (PRM) Reports.
  • Work with Project Managers to Prepare Invoices.
  • Assist Procurement Department as needed.
  • Assist Accounts Payable Department as needed.
  • Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
  • Assist in maintaining a database of historical cost data to enhance the accuracy of future estimates.

Education, Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Business Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0-2 years of experience in Project Controls, Estimating, Cost Analysis, Schedule Analysis or related functions within the construction, defense, engineering or energy sectors (preferred).
  • Familiarity with DOE and DoD contracts is (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Project Management software such as Costpoint, Primavera P6, or similar (preferred).
  • Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
  • Must be able to travel to job sites on an as requested basis.
  • Must be able to critically think.
