Rotoflow, An Air Products Business, is seeking a Technical Quality Control Technician for our Quality Control Department responsible for the manufacture of a wide variety of new and reverse engineered turbomachinery parts and components at our headquarters in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

You will be responsible for the safe testing and inspection of all products manufactured at the site in accordance with high level safety policies and procedures, manufacturing methods, codes and standards and the ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Experienced in using a combination of standards, codes, and procedures.

  • Experienced planning, solving problems, and making decisions applicable to manufacturing issues related to the fabrication of large, complex, and engineered to order pressure vessels.

  • Ensure adherence to the ASME and ISO 9001 certified Quality Management Systems to assure customers of consistent compliance with requirements.

  • Strong understanding of GD&T.

  • Use of CMM (Coordinated measuring machine) Programing experience is a plus.

  • Strong understanding and use of manual measuring equipment (calipers, dial indicators, micrometers etc.)

  • Strong understanding of non-conformance processes.

  • SAP Experience or MRP system experience.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform fundamental in process inspection and testing to verify process control, equipment capability, and product integrity. Inspects machinery, equipment, and assembly operations on a periodic or sampling basis.

  • Develop inspection results on reports, checks sheets or other records.

  • Responsible for the performance of quality control inspections related to the fabrication of large, welded pressure vessels and their internal components.

  • Inspection techniques include but are not limited to visual, dimensional, dye penetrants, visual weld inspection, pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure testing, and magnetic particle inspection.

  • Responsibility for Gage Control, inventory, replacement program, measurement capability, accuracy, calibration, frequencies, and traceability.

  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities aimed at improving the facilities production and QC efficiency.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

  • 2+ years of quality manufacturing experience is required.

  • Quality Control Certifications (AWS CWI, API, etc. is preferred but is not required.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SAP or comparable software is required.

  • Strong time management skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • Good written and verbal communications skills.

  • Able to work within a team environment with the ability to change priorities quickly.

  • Safety focused.

  • A positive attitude, reliable, dependable, and organized.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work in a union environment.

  • A valid driver's license is required.

  • Availability to work a 1st shift: 6:25am to 2:25pm, Monday through Friday.

  • Flexibility to work overtime.
