Description

A Brief Overview
The Accounting Clerk readies and maintains financial and business transactions and applies accounting principles. This work includes work that is analytical, evaluative, and advisory in nature and that requires an understanding of both accounting theory and practice.

What you will do



  • Data entry of accounts payable and general ledger entries.
  • Assists with basic compliance reporting.
  • Prepares bank account reconciliations.
  • Prepares and inputs recurring and adjusting journal entries.
  • Accurately performs accounts payable and receivable data entry.
  • Assist with monthly accounting close checklists for various accounting departments.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of certain general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare, compile, and analyze detailed schedules for quarterly financial statement reporting.
  • Prepare reports to support assigned accounts and summarized activity recorded management review
  • Receives and processes information updates and maintains data.
  • Files documentation, as necessary.
  • Assists the accounting department with special projects, as needed.
  • Gain working understanding and summarize relevant agreements


Qualifications



  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles Preferred
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical and detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible in an environment with complex transactions and willingness to ask questions / request support when needed.
