Your Opportunity + Impact

The Mechanical Engineer serves as a licensed technical leader, contributing expertise to the planning, design, and delivery of high-quality mechanical systems for a wide range of projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging assignments, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and take ownership of project deliverables from concept through construction. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for coordinating design activities, supporting project schedules, and performing Quality Assurance/Quality Control to ensure solutions meet client expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This position is ideal for a motivated Professional Engineer who values technical excellence, mentorship, and meaningful project impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently plan, design, and execute mechanical engineering tasks, including preparation of construction documents and successful delivery of projects from concept through completion.
  • Lead and contribute to technically complex projects, applying advanced mechanical engineering principles to develop practical, innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems across disciplines.
  • Perform and document QA/QC reviews of mechanical design deliverables to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Prepare and verify engineering calculations, technical specifications, and equipment selections for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems, as applicable.
  • Develop cost estimates and support the management of design budgets for routine and moderately complex project scopes.
  • Assist senior leadership with project scheduling, labor hour estimates, and technical proposal development.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams to define scope, address design challenges, and maintain alignment with project goals and schedules.
  • Promote and support quality-driven design processes to reduce errors, improve constructability, and enhance overall project outcomes.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to engineering associates and interns, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.
Education and Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in position relevant Engineering field from ABET accredited school.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years' of job-related experience.
  • Licensure/Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrates a strong desire to expand knowledge and take on new responsibilities within the engineering field.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD and/or other discipline-specific programs preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team.
  • Exhibits strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to technical excellence and innovation.
