Job Description

Location Profile:

Located in Gardena California, Permaswage designs and manufactures separable and permanent fluid fittings and installation tolling for aerospace and defense applications.

Position Summary:

Direct staff in the maintenance of grounds, facilities, equipment, and security of premises.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Direct skilled electrical, electronic, mechanical and maintenance employees to maintain production machines and facilities equipment.
  • Direct semi-skilled employees to perform selected maintenance operations for buildings and grounds including maintenance of grounds, gardening, and coolant recovery to support machining areas.
  • Review current maintenance jobs to determine work priority, available equipment and supplies, manpower loading and schedule Coordinate performance of maintenance trouble calls. Review work performance, recommend required overtime, and direct necessary improvements.
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance aspects of assigned facility maintenance operations to assure that work is properly scheduled and performed.
  • Coordinate assigned maintenance with other functional areas to determine that proper support is being
  • Develop and maintain appropriate department records for assigned facility maintenance and security activity.
  • Within assigned department areas, train employees in work procedures, hazardous materials handling, and safety requirements, and process all Human Resources related activity.
  • Make work assignments to handle trouble calls as directed in all maintenance areas.
  • Supervise all maintenance department employees; during absence of Facilities Manager report activity to Director of Operations.
  • Perform related work as required

Required Skills:

  • The ability to read and write English.
  • A high level competence in shop math such as working with fractions and decimals.
  • A high level knowledge of hand tools and mechanical application regarding nuts and bolts.
  • A high level knowledge of part holding methods and procedures.
  • A high level knowledge NC equipment, electrical and electronic controls
  • The ability to interact with computers and CNC controls at a high level
  • The ability to interact and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems at high level
  • The ability to read electrical and machine drawings and diagrams at high level
  • The ability to perform complex Preventive Maintenance for all NC, lathes, etc. following equipment checklists and run a PM report with ball bar diagram
  • Ability to lead and instruct low level maintenance

Required Experience:

  • This position requires high level experience working with mechanical processes and methods
  • Experience and considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of various types of NC, lathes, mills,, presses, etc.
  • Ability to analyze, rebuild, repair NC machinery and other types of equipment's
  • Ability to work effectively and establish good working relationships with other employees
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.
  • Meet the physical and mental requirements as established in these job descriptions
  • 5-10 years' experience

Level of Education:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CNC maintenance training and certification

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $86,700 to $130,100 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
