Department Summary The Department of Philosophy and Religion at the University of North Texas has 12 faculty of twelve, 2 staff, and 2 student workers. We have an undergraduate programs in philosophy and religion and a graduate (MA and PhD) program in philosophy with approximately 45 students. We are located in the EESAT Building on Mulberry Street and Avenue C. Position Overview This position acts as the administrator for the departments graduate program. Responsibilities include: communicating with prospective and current students, the direct and accurate administrative supervision of student progress through the graduate program, assisting departments annual admissions process, and consistent coordination with the Director of Graduate Studies, Department Chair, Administrative Coordinator, CLASS, and the Toulouse Graduate School, and all other appropriate offices. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree and three years of moderately responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Exceptional customer service skills. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures. Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others. Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats. Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple assignments effectively. Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness. Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships. Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function. Job Duties
