Could you be the full-time hybrid (or remote) Business Development Director (Rail Signaling) we're looking for? This position may also be fully remote if a candidate lives outside of Pittsburgh,PA, but within the US. Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your business development and signaling expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates. You'll play a pivotal role in driving Alstom's growth in the North American signaling market by identifying opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and leading multi-functional tender teams to success. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Customer Directors, Bid Managers, Project Managers, and Solution Directors), act as a strategic partner in market analysis and development, and ensure seamless transitions from contract negotiation to project execution-and much more. We'll look to you for:
Developing, maintaining, and nurturing relationships and partnerships with customers, agencies, installers, consultants, and other stakeholders in the railway signaling environment,
Identifying and growing Alstom's market share in the signaling segment in North America,
Monitoring opportunities in Alstom's CRM tool and ensuring all stakeholders are informed about Alstom signaling solutions and services,
Acting as Tender Leader to lead multi-functional tender teams on selected pursuits, establishing winning strategies, and managing day-to-day relationships with stakeholders,
Assuming responsibility for tender commercial strategy, including all commercial and legal deliverables,
Ensuring financial risks and legal requirements are addressed by relevant support functions (taxes, insurance, bonds, etc.),
Preparing and presenting internal governance documents to secure corporate approval before submitting offers and signing agreements,
Leading negotiations up until contract signature and ensuring proper transition and handover to Customer Directors and Project Managers,
Acting as a strategic partner to collaborate with Alstom's Customer Directors, Bid Managers, Project Managers, and Solution Directors on market developments, competitors' activities, market trends, and R&D initiatives,
Championing customer centricity in all activities and tracking market insights to support Alstom's signaling growth.

Degree in Business, Engineering, Law, or other related fields,
Experience in business development, sales, or commercial activities within the rail/transit industry (mandatory),
Knowledge of US transit agencies and the customer base (mandatory),
- Knowledge of digital signaling solutions (rail) -familiarity with CBTC (Communications-Based Train Control) is preffered,
Strong communication and negotiation skills,
Ability to lead multi-functional teams and manage complex tenders,
Strategic thinking and market analysis skills to identify growth opportunities,
Resilience and adaptability to manage multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities,
Commitment to ethics and compliance in all professional activities,
