Patient Service Specialist - OB/GYN Brunswick

Location:121 Medical Center Drive, Suite 2700
Schedule:Full-time, 40 hours/week
Hours:Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Remote Flexibility:None (fully on-site)

Position Summary

MaineHealth is seeking aPatient Service Specialistto join our OB/GYN team in Brunswick. In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a key part in ensuring that scheduling, referrals, and general administrative needs are handled with efficiency and compassion. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and enjoys supporting both patients and clinical teams.

What You'll Do

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patients, families, and visitors.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling, including appointments, procedures, and follow-ups.
  • Process and manage incoming referrals to ensure timely and accurate scheduling.
  • Support daily administrative tasks for the practice, including phone coverage, check-in/check-out, insurance verification, and data entry.
  • Collaborate closely with providers, medical assistants, and administrative colleagues to support smooth clinic operations.
  • Assist with schedule adjustments as needed when team members are on vacation or out of the office.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Six months of medical office experience required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.
