About this role:

Gartner is seeking an experienced Product Owner for Master Data Management within the Chief Data and Analytics Office. Product Owners serve as the voice of the customer and product team to guide engineering teams in building product capabilities with highest business needs and priorities, prioritize and manage the product backlog and incorporate feedback from business stakeholders to guide continuous product improvement. This role will be the Product Owner for Gartner's Contact customer data domain leading a team with focus on process improvements, data management and execution of large- and small-scale initiatives.

What you'll do:

  • Define and maintain alignment on the product vision, roadmap and strategy in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Translate problem statements, customer needs and solution hypotheses into user stories or other forms of requirements, ensuring clear acceptance criteria and measurable success metrics
  • Develop a deep understanding of business goals and processes to inform product priorities and improvement recommendations through strong relationship with stakeholders across the business
  • Engage cross-functionally with stakeholders, technical architects and development teams to develop capabilities and solutions to meet business requirements and achieve desired business outcomes
  • Analyze data quality and curate insights to drive requirements to increase business value
  • Lead backlog refinement sessions to maintain a consistently up-to-date, prioritized backlog of clearly defined features/stories
  • Continuously refine and prioritize backlog items, balancing business value, technical feasibility and long term product strategy while managing dependencies across teams
  • Support scrum master and development leads to navigate through development roadblocks
  • Collaborate with QA teams in reviewing test scenarios to ensure acceptance criteria is met and sign off on product design
  • Ensure quality through adherence to and supporting processes and procedures, including the maintenance of documentation on shared file systems
  • Mentor and develop product owners and data analysts by providing actionable feedback andidentifyingcareer growth opportunities

What you'll need:

  • 10+ years of Product management experience with demonstrated success in defining, building and maintaining products
  • Successful demonstration of managing multiple projects/products and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent requirements gathering, stakeholder management and meeting facilitation skills
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong SQL skills and basic understanding of data analysis tools and techniques
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Proven people management skills with a strong emphasis on coaching and mentoring
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with the ability to present complex topics in a condensed manner to various stakeholders, including senior leaders

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 108,000 USD - 148,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
