We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented AP/AR Clerk to support accounting operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This temporary role focuses primarily on accounts receivable, credit, and collections, with exposure to the full AR cycle. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, experience reconciling accounts, and the ability to communicate professionally with both internal teams and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process customer invoices, payments, and cash applications accurately and timely
• Reconcile daily payment activity and maintain accurate AR records
• Manage collections for delinquent accounts, including customer follow-ups and collection calls
• Resolve billing discrepancies, short pays, unapplied cash, and credit issues
• Prepare monthly customer statements and aging reports
• Collaborate with sales teams to resolve blocked orders, tax questions, and account issues
• Support audits by providing AR documentation and reconciliations
• Analyze offsets and write-offs to ensure correct payment application
• Escalate unresolved accounts and provide regular status updates to management

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; coursework or degree in Business or Accounting preferred
• Previous experience in accounts receivable, credit, or collections
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
