The Job The Vice President, Network Management Contracting is a senior executive leader responsible for the strategy, execution, and performance of provider contracting across SCAN Health Plan's markets. This role leads the development and negotiation of provider contracts that support affordability, quality, access, and value-based care outcomes while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational scalability. You Will Leads enterprise provider contracting strategy across hospitals, physician groups, IPAs, and ancillary providers to support affordability, access, quality, and growth objectives. Negotiates and executes complex, high-value provider contracts, including fee-for-service, value based, and risk-based arrangements. Owns financial performance of provider contracts, including unit cost trends, contract economics, and total cost of care outcomes. Partners with Medical Management, Finance, Legal, and Network Operations to align contracting strategy with clinical, regulatory, and operational priorities. Establishes contracting standards, governance, and negotiation frameworks to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance across markets. Evaluates provider performance and contract effectiveness using data and analytics; recommends contract redesigns or corrective actions as needed. Supports network strategy for market expansion, growth initiatives, and network adequacy requirements. Leads, mentors, and develops a high-performing network contracting leadership team with clear accountability and performance expectations. Serves as executive advisor to senior leadership on provider market dynamics, contracting risks, and strategic opportunities. Represents the organization in executive-level discussions with providers, health systems, and external partners. Your Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required, Graduate or Advanced Degree or equivalent experience preferred 10-15 years of progressive experience in provider contracting, network management, or healthcare strategy or related experience 5+ years of leadership experience 5+ years of senior leadership experience leading large, complex teams. Experience leading provider contracting models that include financial risk, performance accountability, and outcomes-based incentives. Experience supporting organizational growth initiatives, including market expansion, network redesign, or significant shifts in provider strategy. Experience leading enterprise-wide contracting strategy across multiple markets or geographies. Experience partnering closely with clinical leadership to align provider contracts with care delivery and quality objectives. Experience navigating regulatory, compliance, and legal considerations in a highly regulated healthcare environment. Deep expertise in provider contracting within Medicare Advantage or managed care environments. Proven success negotiating complex, high-dollar provider agreements. Strong financial acumen with experience managing cost trends and contract economics. Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive decisions across complex, matrixed organizations without direct authority. Demonstrated success building, scaling, and leading high-performing contracting organizations. What's in it for you?
